Topics getting the most attention in Dayton public meetings, ranked by how frequently they come up.
City Manager Retirement
Dayton's top city boss is stepping down next year, so the City Commission has to find someone new to run the daily operations of local government. This is a big leadership shakeup that directly affects how city services and projects are managed.
Town Hall Series
Dayton's mayor is hitting the road with a four-stop town hall series, giving you a direct line to city leadership to air your grievances and ask questions. It's an easy way to get face-to-face with the people making local decisions and weigh in on what matters to you.
Legal Litigation
Dayton is facing a lawsuit from the Pacific Legal Foundation on behalf of Nourish Our Neighbors, which could shake up how local regulations are enforced. Keep an eye on this one, because the court's final call might force the city to rewrite parts of its policy book.
